Here is a brief description of Efedbuilder.com and what happened to us last year.
As most of our users may know Efedbuilder.com was taken down last year with no notice, the reason we know this is because we weren't told either. Turns out one of the first victims to the '08 credit crunch was our hosting server. Our parent company Small Site Management was forced to cease trading for several months. This gave us plenty of time to concentrate on our side project. Efedbuilder.com, we decided that the one thing missing from the e-wrestling community was a site that gave full control to its users. Efedbuilder.com was the very first to do this. It pushed every code that existed in the ASP.Net 3.5 framework to give ultimate control to the owner.
The only problem was, it was too much to handle. After numerous Roleplay board failures and Module crashes we soon realized that too much power can lead to catastrophic failures.
We decided to redesign Efedbuilder.com to allow the Efed owner to keep the much needed sense of power without over whelming them with difficult and often confusing controls.
Well after 4 long months of programming and tinkering we think we've nailed it. have a look below to see what improvements we've made.
Efedbuilder 09 Changes:
- In this version (which from this point on we will call Version 09 as we don't like to mention last years debacle) we will be releasing two products
Efedbuilder.com Free and Efedbuilder.com Premium
Efedbuilder.com Free is the product that will be released later this week. This will be a controlled environment that offers:
- Full skinning capabilities (both theme and text containers)
- Full HTML compatibility
- Site Settings, Skin Selector, Custom Page Add and Newsletter are all new modules created for the Free Program.
- 30 members per site increase from the previous 20
- 5 custom pages allowance with the ability to add modules to each page HTML modules, Media Modules, Survey Modules
- Full Roster, Roleplay and Events modules.
- 100mb of data space
- public, private or verified registration, let them join freely (public) privately (through your authorization) or they must have a legitimate email address (verified).
Efedbuilder.com Premium will be our second product released later this year. All the previous items will be included with the following exciting additions.
- Security roles module, this allows a owner to designate a Co-owner, Writer, Staff Member and the added bonus of adding your own security roles to a member of your site.
- A full list of User accounts, see who is part of your site, add, change and delete your members to your hearts content.
- A auto results-writer, just punch a few buttons and before you know it you have the results you wanted instantly.
- 60 members limit double that of the free version
- 500mb of space, previous testing showed that a months worth of usage only accounts for 20mb
- your very own file manager upload, delete and edit your files
- Create your own custom registration forms, weed out the weaklings and only hire the pros.
- 30 day site log. Find out who signs in regularly, your most popular pages, the most used browser with your very own site log.
- Charge users to join your site for as little or as much as you like with a integrated paypal security role.

If you were a member of Efedbuilder '08 we apologies for the sudden disappearance and also apologies to the unfortunate fact that we can't recover your previous account. It turns out with our old hosting company, because they owned the servers our files were stored on, technically, they owned our files.
